What I can't tell you though is, how far the #risk has already spread through the #GlobalEconomy.
Have, for instance, European #Banks again been bying up mixed risk #securities from the #US like hell, or has their past experience made them more careful ?
I don't know.
Maby the @EUCommission , @ecb can tell us all more about this ?!

And of course, given the banks have removed for many the chance to pop over to their local branch to find out what the problem is, this reinforces concerns about the closure of branch banking.
Its cheaper for the banks, but for customers it leaves them exposed to the (all too often) 'IT glitch'!

Creating a mandatory human rights due diligence regime for Australian companies
"We analysed the human rights commitments of 25 of the top companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), including some of our largest banks and mining companies."
"We found Australian companies have a long way to go in “knowing and showing” a commitment to respect human rights, suggesting an urgent need for reform...It is clear from our research that many large Australian companies are not operating in line with international standards."
"One response could be for Australia to follow the European Union’s lead and create a mandatory human rights due diligence regime. Australian companies must take proactive steps to comply with international standards. Our findings suggest the government should enact a stronger and broader mandatory human rights due diligence law covering all human rights. "

I just wonder about peoples sanity. Fires in Califonia, floods across much of the US and the Florida coastline keeps on shrinking - and still they do not get it. These banks have been part of the problem. But it is always someone else.

»In the devastated Gaza Strip, cash is king. But few banks remain standing and Israel’s blocking of bill and coin transfers in and out of the territory also means cash is scarce.

Now, the CFPB wasn't gathering this data just to make you mad. They wanted to do something about all this money – to find a way to lower switching costs, and, in so doing, transfer all that money from bank shareholders and executives to the American public.
And that's just what they did. A newly finalized Personal Financial Data Rights rule will allow you to authorize third parties – other banks, comparison shopping sites, brokers, anyone who offers you a better deal, or help you find one – to request your account data from your bank. Your bank will be required to provide that data.
I loved this rule when they first proposed it:"
