🎉 Big news! MobTV has joined us as a Silver sponsor for #PloneConference2024! 📺 We’re super excited to have them on board and can’t wait to see what this collaboration brings. Thanks for the support, MobTV—let’s make this year’s conference one to remember! 🚀

I wrote a #blog post about using #polars with #python to look at some passwords

Also, I would rather work and earn than take handouts any day. If you need someone with decades of experience in machine learning or python programming, or know someone who does, let me know in a PM. I'm willing to work for cheap, especially if it helps me upskill with LLMs. (My lack of hands-on experience with LLMs in particular is why I am struggling.) I'm happy to work contracts, part time, pay by the job, pay by the hour, you name it. Make me an offer or ask me for a bid!

Again, ***please boost for reach.***

If you’re from outside the US — or from the US and have voted — and you want to steer clear of stress the next 24 hours, how about learning the basics of #programming #Scheme and/or #Wisp?

It’s a mind-opening experience and might just be the right thing to steer clear of stress:

And if you’re a Pythonista, you have a neat head start:

I'm slowly making my way through a 8 thousand line python addition to #inkscape's #python library for parsing text and font elements in #svg properly. It's important and useful, but it's also *a lot*.

I'm not sure how to say "please run pylint over your code because my eyes hurt trying to read this". without sounding like an ungrateful jerk. 😅

Denke an ca. 1x die Woche zusammen an was arbeiten. Auf Englisch geht auch.
Gern teilen.

So... what is the 'standard' or 'best practice' way to work with #python virtual environments and dependencies these days?

It should work on all platforms (aka linux/osx/win) as I want to introduce it into our projects so that all devs can easily start off from the same base, as in a single command to set up env+deps
(as opposed to everyone having to go through the pain individually for each project).

Any pointers or good blog posts that I can peruse?
