I was walking in my garden yesterday looking for something to photograph. At the moment the rhododendron "Cunningham's White" is starting to bloom. It is an early blooming rhododendron, in the Netherlands already at the end of April/beginning of May. And although several of the beautiful white flowers are already open, I was especially fascinated by the buds. They are pink, which is special, because the flower is white, but that strange way in which the petals are folded. It is a miracle that they do not come out wrinkled. Photographed so close, it even has something creepy. Something fleshy, like the inside of an ear or something. On a dark green background you look up close and from the side at a pink bud of a rhododendron. There are several flower buds present, of which the bottom ones are the longest and thickest. Further inwards the pink buds are narrower and less long. The still folded petals are clearly visible. There are edges along the length. It looks a bit strangely fleshy. It reminds me of an ear. At the bottom of the flower a sturdy flower base with yellow-green sepals. Around it are a few large green rododendron leaves.

Ich habe mal testweise Immich installiert. Das sieht echt gut aus und erinnert wirklich sehr an Google Photos. Immich ist zwar noch in einer Beta-Phase, aber dafür läuft es schon sehr gut.

Von den fast 18.000 Fotos und Videos sind nun schon gut 10.000 hochgeladen und die CPU hat gut zu tun, denn das muss alles erst verarbeitet werden. 😂



Wer es ausprobieren möchte, findet auf der Immich-Webseite den Link zum testen. Die passende App für's Handy gibt es auch dazu. 👍

I get the message that the folder can't be deleted because it's not empty.

It's also not possible to delete all #files in a folder at once to easily empty the folder.

Wie kann man denn bei #Sharkey alte #Medien aus dem #Drive möglichst einfach löschen?

Ich habe extra für den #Upload einen Standardordner für das jeweilige Jahr angelegt und würde Ordner von vergangenen Jahren gerne löschen. Das liefert aber die Meldung "Der Ordner kann nicht gelöscht werden, da er nicht leer ist".

Auch kann man nicht alle Medien im Ordner auf einen Schlag löschen, sondern nur Datei für Datei 🤔🤷‍♂️
Das kann doch nicht der Weisheit letzter Schluss sein. Ergo: Ist das ein Bug, oder ein Feature?

The snow melting and leaving a lot of brown patches, a clear blue sky with lots of sun, which is nice for me to see - but not for a cool photo. - BUT it was a good hike, that's what I have to keep repeating to myself

Just three snaps from my hike today. I didn't want to try anything new to be honest. So I just went for this summit. The views were great, especially with the fog down there.

It hasn't snowed for a while, that's why there are a LOT of brown patches of grass around. Not really great for nice #photos to be honest. But it nice to get out and have some exercise.

Oh and I was SUPER happy about my spikes. Some parts were just ice.
