Quietly taking photos of mushrooms in the lawn & a noise behind me makes me realise one of our regular wee birdies has got fed up waiting for me to go & has started lunch. I could quietly wait out there with my camera trained on the feeder for ages & they will stay away. Apparently I'm less threatening when examining the grass.

This is a fire that I photographed from Buck Hill this morning, November 3rd 2024 just after 7am. I'm uncertain where the fire is located or what the source of it is, but considering the recent spike in wildfires in Massachusetts, I suspect this is also a wildfire. The building at the lower left is the former Norwood Hospital, which would put this on a bearing for the towns of Medfield MA and Medway MA, perhaps Noon Hill Reservation or Shattuck Reservation. So far I have not been able to find any corroborating source for a fire in those towns.

On the inter-tidal zone of the Durham Heritage Coast at Seaham in North East England, a clue bearing witness to the town's industrial heritage.
Not sure how long these old wagon wheels have been here, but it's a good few years since since I first happened upon them.
I'm by no means the only one who's thought they make a great photographic subject, but I don't know how much longer before the inevitable corrosion takes its toll.
